Gerson
Right hand man
Gerson is the trusted right hand of the Baard family, a steady presence who has stood by their side through the years. With a quiet dedication, he ensures that every detail of the camping experience runs seamlessly. From logistics to comfort, his care and experience bring ease to the adventure, making him an indispensable part of the team.
A proud traditional Damara from southern Namibia, Gerson carries his heritage into every journey. Reliable and attentive, he is the one who keeps camp life smooth, stress‑free, and full of heart.
Hendrik
Partner in crime
A traditional Nama from northern Namibia, Hendrik brings heritage, discipline, and reliability to the team. Often called Gerson’s partner in crime, he is the man who makes sure the truck is always packed and adventure‑ready. With an eye for detail and a knack for preparation, he keeps gear organized and essentials at hand, ensuring nothing slows the journey.
Before joining the Baards, Hendrik served in the police force, sharpening the resourcefulness and steadiness that now make him indispensable. Practical, fearless, and ever‑reliable, his behind‑the‑scenes work guarantees that every ride begins with confidence and ends with ease.
Elargo
The Camp Maestro
Elargo, a proud Oshiwambo from northern Namibia, is nicknamed “The Lens & Ladle” for his dual talents in the kitchen and behind the camera. Working alongside Rene, he learns her tips and tricks, bringing flavor and flair to every meal. He also ensures that camp life runs smoothly, keeping tents neat and tables set and ready for a feast.
Beyond the kitchen, Elargo is the designated photographer, capturing the spirit of each adventure in vivid detail. With creativity in both cooking and storytelling, he makes sure your plates are full and your memories unforgettable.

Tharina is the friendly voice guiding you to the tour that matches your spirit of adventure. A true bike lover, she found her passion at Untamed Africa Tours and now channels that energy into every client experience. She rides a nimble Yamaha 125 for daily errands but prefers the power of the Bombardier 650 when adventure calls. Warm, attentive, and detail‑driven, Tharina makes planning as inspiring as the ride itself.

His deep local knowledge and passion for the wild shaped Untamed Africa Tours, where he leads riders on authentic motorcycle adventures with high‑end bikes, expert logistics, and routes tailored to every group’s skill and challenge.
Charl
The Rock
